Google Analytics Tips: Get your website to click with customers

See how well your site is working for you.

Google Analytics

Capture your audience's attention.

Most people decide within a few seconds if a website is useful to them. Use these tips to see which content on your site turns visitors into customers.

Give people what they want

Customers come to your website with a simple goal: to find what they're looking for. And if they don't find it, they'll look elsewhere. Get more sales or leads by putting relevant information front-and-center.

Visit the All Pages report in the 'Content' section of your Analytics account to find out what content clicks most with your customers. You'll see:

Which of your website pages are most popular

Where people spend the most and least time on your site

Which pages users leave your site from (i.e. have a high 'bounce' or 'exit rate')

Test for success

Improve the performance of important pages on your site by using Content Experiments. Try out two different versions of a page to see which one drives more sales or leads–for example, if you want to get more leads through your sales team, test a version with the 'Contact Us' button featured more prominently.

Google Consumer Surveys is a quick and easy way to ask basic market research questions, like: What matters more to you: product price or free shipping?
